Lock & Worth Winery - Sauvignon Blanc + Sémillon

Lock & Worth Winery - Sauvignon Blanc + Sémillon

Lock & Worth are the duo comprised of Matthew SherLOCK and Ross HackWORTH. Their aim is to produce honest, single vineyard wines of time and place–priced for everyday consumption.

Lock & Worth is located on Naramata Bench, in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. This is a region uniquely suitable to the production of wines that combine fruit, finesse, and acidity.

The starting point for this producer is the belief that one should be able to drink high quality, single vineyard (non-commodity), small production wines that are priced reasonably from British Columbia. They plan to be around 20 years from now, not by becoming a large company but by creating a sustainable business within their community.

The focus of Lock & Worth is wine production: they spend all their money on their wines, not marketing. No heavy bottles, advertising, or fancy labels. In the winery they use old French Oak (not expensive) and have very little in the way of technology (still use basket presses).

Lock & Worth do not belong to any marketing groups nor do they submit wines to award or trade shows–all of which cost money. Every penny saved goes toward the quality of their wines and to keeping their prices stable.
