Orofino Vineyards - Pinot Noir 2021
John and Virginia Weber both grew up in Southern Saskatchewan. Virginia worked as a nurse and John taught high school. Life settled and things were good until they visited the Similkameen Valley in 2001. The desire to try something new, their love of wine, and the beauty of the Similkameen convinced them to purchase a vineyard and move from Saskatchewan to Cawston. They quickly fell in love with the area and its burgeoning wine industry.
Orofino Vineyards is completely committed to the Similkameen appellation: they have over two decades of experience making wines in the valley, from a range of micro-terroirs: from the intense head of the Cawson bench vineyards to the heavy-soiled bottomland sites, to the coolness of the high-elevation Olalla Gap, always with the goal of making wines that reflect the place.
Orofino Vineyard wines are characterized by their strong minerality, manifest across their entire portfolio.
