Wayne Falkenberg is the leading winemaker at Lindeman’s, the son of grape growers in the Barossa Valley. In 1974, Wayne enrolled at Roseworthy Agricultural College in South Australia and completed his Diploma in Oenology. Two years later he embarked on his career with Lindeman’s.
As the winemaker of Lindeman’s most popular wine range, Wayne has an enormous responsibility and a great challenge to make consistently great tasting wines for everyday enjoyment. The goal is to make wines that are enjoyable and consistent, in spite of the vagaries of the weather. While some winemakers aspire to craft the best and most expensive wines, the real challenge for Wayne is to produce a great wine that will be enjoyed by millions around the world, every day.
