Legado Muñoz - Garnacha

Legado Muñoz - Garnacha

Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz is a winery with a long family tradition that incorporates contemporary practices to their own traditional winemaking.

Bienvenido Muñoz Pollo is the winemaker. Trained as an agricultural engineer, followed with a Master in Oenology and Viticulture, is focused on the production on quality wines under D.O La Mancha and V.T de Castilla.

Located in the province of Toledo, Spain, the terrain of their vineyards is flat, with shallow soil of clay-calcareous composition. A semi-arid region with less than 400 mm of rain and ample sunshine–almost 3,000 hours–results in low yields with extraordinary concentration and flavours.

The qualities of the vineyard itself, together with the modern production facilities, aging and bottling, as well as the implementation of strict quality controls, result in a product that is uncompromising and pleasing to the most demanding palate. The winery can process 4M liters of wine per year, with aging in a bodega with 4,500 barrels. They farm 100 hectares of their own land, and contract the production of 300 additional hectares under the supervision of Bodegas Muñoz.

Currently, Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz distributes its wines in over thirty countries. Recognition of the quality of the wines produced by Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz as evidenced by the numerous awards obtained at both national and international competitions.
