Bodacious Wines - Smooth Red
Bodacious Winery is a small family winery started by John and Cindy Miller in the heart of the Fair Play American Viticulture Area in California.
John had been making seriously sumptuous wines from home for years. Winning many medals from many different wine competitions ranging from 21 medals at the 2003 California State Fair to 4 medals at the Orange county Wine festival. As more people were able to sample John’s diverse and vivid wines, John decided to take his wine making to the next level and go full time.
Forty Five acres were found in the spring of 2004 with the help of Wally and Georja at Keller Associates. The effort to clear the land was a family affair involving John’s daughter Kristi and her husband Shawn, with his grand-kids picking up sticks and sundry debris. What was once a mass of trees and brush is now gently flowing hills with 11 acres of grapes that are used by John to produce robust and fruit-forward wines.
