Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars - Wild Terrain Block 09 Pinot Noir 2022

Blue Mountain was established by the Mavety family in the South Okanagan. All of its wines are produced exclusively using grapes grown on the estate using sustainable farming methods.

The winery has identified vineyard blocks which allow the production of wines that are highly expressive of the terroir. By paying so much attention to these individual parcels, Blue Mountain is also able to deliver on the potential of individual grape varietals, continually improving on its production of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir, and Méthode Traditionnelle sparkling wine

Great attention is given to prevent over-handling: from the growing practices in the vineyard, to handling of the fruit and sorting, to minimal extraction, ageing, and racking. By focusing on sustainability with a light touch, Blue Mountain strives to reveal precise, focused wines that are terroir-driven, regardless of whether they are a blend reflecting different sites, or a single vineyard wine.

All this work results in complex, age-worthy varietal wines that are consistent in style while allowing the expression of both the terroir and the individual growing season.
